ROLE SUMMARY:

The Identity Access Management Risk Specialist is tasked with overseeing the management of all security and related matters concerning Identity & Access Management (IAM) within the organization.

This role demands a comprehensive understanding of provisioning, deprovisioning, and Privileged Access Management (PAM) processes.

Responsibilities include addressing regulatory findings and navigating the creation of action plans while managing the lifecycle of risk management processes.

The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate across various departments, coupled with analytical capabilities to gather data, assess IAM-related risks, and make informed decisions based on findings.

This position requires the ability to identify vulnerabilities and gaps within the IAM framework that may be overlooked by others.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead control evaluation and substantiation efforts to ensure timely execution of operational risk activities, including the Risk Control Self-Assessment process.
  • Ensure the design of appropriate controls and conduct design reviews with both technology and business stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain best practice documentation to support top-tier risk assessment and control evaluation activities.
  • Oversee the administration of operational and regulatory risk strategy programs for designated business segments.
  • Promptly escalate all issues requiring attention to senior management.
  • Collaborate with business lines to identify key risks and controls, developing effective internal control processes and testing those controls.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with business line management through continuous and proactive communication.
  • Provide timely and relevant analysis to the Senior Risk Manager regarding testing outcomes, emphasizing areas needing attention and activities inconsistent with business line policies.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Extensive background in identity and access management with a holistic understanding of all related functions.
  • Experience in deprovisioning, provisioning, decommissioning, access management, and reconciliations.
  • Conceptual understanding of Privileged Access Management, including how accounts should be identified, discovered, and managed.
  • Knowledge of PAM operations.
  • Familiarity with tools such as CyberArk, Delinea, SailPoint, etc.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with confidence in decision-making and interaction with regulatory teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in risk management, as this role will operate within the risk domain, necessitating the ability to analyze findings and ensure evidence for remediation of findings and controls.
