Job Overview:
We are in search of a Hospital Risk Manager for our client, a well-respected healthcare institution in Columbus, GA.

The Hospital Risk Manager will play a crucial role in managing the risk management program, ensuring the safety and welfare of patients, staff, and visitors.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Formulate and execute risk management policies and procedures in line with state and federal guidelines.

2. Perform risk evaluations and pinpoint potential hazards within the healthcare facility.

3. Collaborate with department leaders and personnel to guarantee adherence to risk management standards.

4. Examine and assess incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective measures.

5. Create and facilitate training sessions on risk management and safety protocols for staff.

6. Monitor and document incidents and claims, providing trend analysis and recommendations to upper management.

7. Act as a liaison with insurance providers and legal representatives on risk management issues.

8. Stay informed on industry best practices and regulations regarding risk management and make necessary adjustments.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in risk management within a healthcare environment.

• Familiarity with state and federal regulations pertaining to risk management and patient safety.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and risk management software.
