The Rockford IceHogs, a premier organization and primary development affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks, is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Executive to join our Business Development Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and increasing ticket sales for the Rockford IceHogs with a strong focus on relationship sales, new business development, and customer retention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Revenue Growth: Use persuasive sales techniques to sell season ticket packages, group outings, premium suites, and experiences.
  • New Business Development: Develop new business and potential customers through prospecting, following up on referrals, and networking.
  • Customer Engagement: Present package offerings in person or virtually and engage with fans and customers in-arena during games to provide high-level customer care.
  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Prospect potential new sales while working game activation activities.
  • Data Management: Build quality fan data through maintaining detailed notes and customer information in sales databases.
  • Industry Research: Research the latest industry trends to provide you with the right knowledge to be a successful sports marketer in the industry.
Requirements
  • 1-2+ years' of professional selling experience.
  • Ability to engage and interact with current and prospective clients and fans.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, fun environment.
  • Ability to problem solve and deliver high-end customer services.
  • Uphold and demonstrate organizational values at all times - Integrity, Curiosity, Empathy, Collaborative & Originality.

The Rockford IceHogs, founded in 1999 and members of the American Hockey League (AHL), is a premier organization and primary development affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks. Located in Rockford, IL, the Team calls the newly renovated BMO Center its home. As the longest running professional sports team in Rockford, the organization has developed a passionate local fan base and has set multiple attendance records over the years, while establishing a strong community presence.
