Compensation Range: $48,340 - $50,000
Compensation Information: Chapman University is obligated to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range considers various factors influencing compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge, education, and other organizational needs. Salary offers are based on the final candidate's qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity and other relevant factors. The anticipated pay range is not a guarantee of a specific wage.
Position Summary:
The Degree Audit Specialist is a full-time, non-exempt staff role responsible for managing degree audits and supporting curriculum maintenance within the University Office of the Registrar.
Key Responsibilities:
The Degree Audit Specialist will:
- Maintain and update the degree audit module in alignment with new academic catalogs.
- Address and resolve issues related to degree audit rules as they arise.
- Revise program evaluations in response to changing requirements.
Curriculum Support:
- Develop and maintain Course Catalog information for class section creation.
- Assign General Education (GE) codes.
- Manage course fees and requisites.
- Oversee course topics and academic organization assignments.
- Assist with the configuration, maintenance, and processing of Curriculog and Acalog.
Degree Conferral Processing Support:
- Facilitate the conferral process.
- Manage diploma holds and communication.
- Oversee the conferral email management.
- Coordinate with diploma production processes.
Enrollment and Degree Reporting:
- Process daily degree verification requests.
- Submit reporting files according to an established calendar.
- Handle In-School Deferment Request submissions.
- Act as a liaison between the registrar's office and external reporting agencies.
- Provide degree completion letters for specific requests.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- At least two years of experience with an automated degree audit program, preferably PeopleSoft.
- Familiarity with collegiate curriculum and graduation requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
- Capability to learn and apply complex academic policies.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Applications.
- Technical aptitude for learning enterprise systems.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with PeopleSoft and Campus Solutions.
