Overview:

UCI Health is the clinical enterprise of the University of California, Irvine, and the only academic health system based in Orange County.

The Comprehensive Epilepsy Program at UCI Health is a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing high-quality, individualized care for patients with epilepsy.

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Epilepsy Care Coordinator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

The Epilepsy Care Coordinator will collaborate with the attending and resident, medical staff, as well as nursing, ancillary and technical staff to coordinate the delivery of high-quality, individualized care for epilepsy patients.

The coordinator will be responsible for coordinating resource utilization throughout the Health System and evaluating services, with a major emphasis on patient care delivery.

The coordinator will also be responsible for identifying, workup, and scheduling of epilepsy surgical candidates, as well as identifying and scheduling patients for Epilepsy Monitoring Unit Admission.

Qualifications:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, as well as the ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge within epilepsy, seizure patients, and experience processing EMU admission with all the related aspects is highly desirable.

Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese is also preferred.
