Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Representative to join our team at UHS. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to promote our services to potential referral sources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director of Business Development in developing and implementing a strategic plan to promote our services to all potential referral sources in the Triangle area and its adjacent counties.
  • Coordinate with the Admissions Department to update the HMS Referral Source Database and follow up with referral sources regarding referrals and admissions.
  • Collaborate with other Hospital Department Heads to develop, educate, and implement the Hospital's Strategic Marketing Plan.
Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in a Human Service field (e.g. Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, etc.). Master's Degree in a Behavioral Health Field is preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in combined clinical/marketing, sales, or contract services in the mental health field. Behavioral Health Hospital experience is preferred.
  • Current North Carolina Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the behavioral health field, including familiarity with services provided to mental health, substance abuse, and developmentally disabled populations.
  • Working knowledge of electronic systems to develop and maintain referral source databases.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Organizational, time management, problem-solving, crisis management, and team building skills.
