Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Registration Representative to join our team at the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community. As a Patient Registration Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth registration process for patients, maximizing reimbursement, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately collect and analyze patient demographics and third-party coverage information
  • Interview patients to obtain required forms and eligibility documents
  • Maintain updated and accurate patient data in various components of the patient's health record
  • Establish new patient charts and collaborate with the Health Information Management team
  • Conduct insurance verification for third-party payers, including Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial plans
  • Communicate with the billing department and Benefit Coordinators to optimize patient resources and billing reimbursement
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in a Patient Registration and/or healthcare front office
  • MS Office proficiency, with an emphasis on MS Excel
  • Medicaid, Medicare, and/or commercial insurance verification experience
  • Experience working with Native American populations is highly preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the history, customs, culture, and traditions of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community
  • Knowledge of AHCCCS, Medicare, and Commercial insurance coverages
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and HIPAA compliance standards
