Radiation Therapist

At Palo Verde Cancer Specialists, we are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the most optimal radiation therapy treatments are provided to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Maintain a caring and supportive environment for patients, visitors, medical staff, and coworkers. Fulfill patient care responsibilities, including checking schedules, organizing patient flow, and assisting patients as needed.
- Treatment Delivery: Accurately deliver radiation treatment according to written prescription and treatment plan. Provide safety and patient care through consistent practice of departmental procedures for treatment administration.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform warm-up and calibration checks of equipment as necessary. Check photon beams and all electron beams for consistency and document findings outside the normal range of operations.
- Quality Assurance: Assure the quality of treatment delivery through complete and accurate documentation of treatment records. Ensure the quality and consistency of treatment portal placement by taking portal films, CBCT, or KV imaging according to departmental procedures.
- Registration: Maintain registration in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the state of Arizona.
- Education: Associate degree required. Computer experience with EMR knowledge.
- Skills: Excellent work ethic, including integrity, positive attitude, productivity, organization, and ability to work efficiently and effectively in a detail-oriented, fast-paced setting.
