Responsibilities- Handle daily customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Process and follow up on insurance claims, denials, and billing functions to ensure timely follow up.
- Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and internal staff to resolve issues and provide accurate information.
- Review and process accounts for accuracy, including self-pay accounts and customer service requests.
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve assigned goals and objectives.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or associate degree preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a business-related clerical role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret instructions and prioritize tasks.
- Knowledge of insurance billing and collections, including ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
- Two years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a customer service or billing role.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook, with experience in medical terminology and customer service.
- Certification in healthcare administration, business, or finance preferred.
