The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for overseeing the comprehensive operations of our community, aligning with the needs of residents, adhering to regulatory standards, and following company policies and procedures. This role is crucial in maintaining exceptional service quality, achieving high occupancy rates, and fulfilling corporate financial objectives within set budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee all operational aspects, serving as the primary contact for staff, residents, prospective clients, community organizations, regulatory bodies, and the public.
  2. Lead, supervise, and inspire community staff.
  3. Ensure high levels of resident satisfaction and retention through consistent delivery of quality services. Provide leadership to staff and residents, proactively addressing and resolving issues. Conduct annual resident satisfaction surveys.
  4. Deliver direct resident care as necessary, stepping into various roles to address staffing shortages.
  5. Implement a renewal program for existing residents through proactive engagement.
  6. Collaborate with Regional Operations to create annual operating and capital budgets, proactively managing budget variances and deficits. Achieve and surpass occupancy goals while exploring revenue enhancement and cost reduction strategies.
  7. Recruit, train, manage, and, if necessary, terminate employees in accordance with company policies, ensuring consistency in hiring and retention of quality personnel.
  8. Guarantee that buildings, grounds, and properties meet company standards through effective oversight of maintenance systems and regular inspections.
  9. Maintain current departmental policies, procedures, and licenses in compliance with company, federal, state, and local regulations.
  10. Encourage creativity among staff to deliver the highest quality services to residents in a cost-effective manner. Foster an environment that supports the personal dignity of residents and participate as a member of the Resident Council.
  11. Build and maintain a positive image within the community by engaging in social and civic activities. Represent the organization to governmental agencies, professional organizations, community groups, and other relevant public entities.
  12. Utilize sales and marketing strategies to maximize occupancy.
  13. Assist in developing and conducting service plan reviews as required by state regulations, collaborating with the appropriate resident care team members and families.
  14. Supervise the management of resident charges and review documentation from resident care staff.
  15. Oversee the resident admission process to ensure timely completion of required documentation in accordance with established policies.
  16. Manage healthcare operations and medication administration for all residents, ensuring compliance with company policies and state regulations. Support nursing staff in training and ensure regular audits of medication records.
  17. Perform additional duties as assigned or required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in healthcare, gerontology, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of the organization and industry is essential.
  • State and local certifications required for administrative roles.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is expected.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.
