Position Overview

Central Carolina Hospital, in collaboration with Duke LifePoint, is in search of a dedicated Director to oversee our Labor and Delivery department. With a robust team of over 120 physicians and more than 500 staff members, our facility provides a comprehensive array of medical specialties. Located in the vibrant region of central North Carolina, we offer a unique opportunity to enhance your management skills in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operations of the OB unit, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain safe staffing levels and ensure the availability of necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Manage patient throughput efficiently to enhance service delivery.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee the departmental budget.
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives and promote professional development among staff.
  • Communicate essential updates to the Chief Nursing Officer and other administrative personnel as required.

Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor's degree is mandatory, while a Master's degree is preferred.

Licensure: A valid Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state is essential.

Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory capacity is necessary.
