Role Summary:

The Director of Cardiovascular Services is responsible for the organization, direction, and supervision of the Cardiovascular Service line. This includes overseeing the operational aspects of the Cath Lab, Endoscopy, Vascular, and Cardiac Rehabilitation services. Key responsibilities include ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, maintaining adequate staffing levels, managing supply and equipment availability, and optimizing patient throughput.

The role also involves budget development and management, continuous quality improvement initiatives, and promoting ongoing professional development for staff. The Director will maintain their own professional growth in nursing leadership and required licensure while effectively communicating with the Chief Nursing Officer and other administrative team members.

Education Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree is mandatory, while a Master's degree is preferred.

Licensure:

A valid Registered Nurse license in North Carolina (or a compact state) is required.

Certifications:

BLS certification is required within 30 days of hire, and ACLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Experience:

A minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting, along with over 5 years of training, education, or experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab RN is essential.
