Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Director to join our Corporate and Foundation Relations team at Yale School of Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to secure funding from corporate and foundation partners to support our institutional priorities and academic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations to identify, cultivate, and solicit foundation and corporate support for Yale's institutional priorities.
  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships with key foundation and corporate funders to ensure strong ties and increasing support.
  • Assist in developing and implementing cultivation strategies and methods for foundation and corporate prospects, including coordinating activities such as campus visits and site visits.
  • Work with Yale leadership, faculty, and staff to communicate and engage with foundations and corporations around campaign priorities and academic initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain efficient systems for tracking grant proposals, payments, and reports.
  • Work with colleagues in prospect research to build prospecting procedures and identify potential foundation and corporate prospects and donors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required, two years of fundraising experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Deep understanding of research in academic settings; excellent written and oral communication skills and exceptional organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and to juggle multiple projects and deadlines; a self-starter with a high level of integrity and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Ability to work regularly and effectively with Yale academic and administrative leadership and faculty, and with other senior members of the schools and units.
