About Us
The Ned NoMad is a contemporary members club and hotel situated in the vibrant heart of New York. It marks the first international expansion of The Ned brand, following the successful launch of The Ned London.

The Venue
Housed in The Johnston Building, previously known as the NoMad Hotel, this historic property was established in 1903. The original architectural elements have been preserved, with interiors crafted by the Soho House Design team.

The Ned NoMad features a blend of exclusive and public areas, including 167 guest rooms and suites. Members enjoy access to a rooftop bar and terrace restaurant, alongside a lively first-floor bar and lounge that hosts entertainment every evening. The property also introduces Cecconi's, a modern Italian dining experience.

The Role
As a Booking Specialist at The Ned NoMad, you will play a vital role within our reservations team, collaborating closely with the Lead Booking Specialist and reporting to the Director of Operations. Your main duty will be to assist guests with their booking inquiries, ensuring a high standard of guest service and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promptly and professionally handle all incoming calls.
  • Provide tailored assistance to guests, addressing their needs, preferences, and special requests with care.
  • Efficiently manage room availability and accurately process reservations in the property management system.
  • Offer guests comprehensive information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions to enhance their stay.
  • Maintain precise records of reservations, guest preferences, and special requests.
  • Support the Lead Booking Specialist with marketing initiatives, including promotional campaigns and rate management.
  • Exhibit attention to detail when processing reservations, noting requests and managing VIP guests.
  • Responsible for entering group rooming lists in accordance with Group Blocks.
  • Conduct thorough research on daily arrivals.
  • Coordinate with the Front Office, Housekeeping, and Sales Team to ensure seamless service for all guests.
  • Communicate with guests and potential guests via written correspondence.
  • Organize and prioritize incoming emails, escalating potential issues or questions to the Lead Booking Specialist or Director of Operations.
  • Respond to all inquiries regarding room rates with accurate information based on stay history, company affiliations, promotional rates, and guest needs.
  • Resolve issues related to third-party VCCs as they arise.
  • Scrutinize all reservations, which includes:
  • Removing or moderating irrelevant comments.
  • Researching and merging guest profiles.
  • Checking for specific guest requests and reaching out to guests with options if desired features are unavailable.
  • Updating VIP Codes when applicable.
  • Ensuring amenity comments are added, or special Rate Code requirements are noted.
  • Contacting duplicate reservations for clarification.
  • Verifying memberships and updating profiles while resolving any encountered issues.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with hotel and OPERA property management systems is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality sector is preferred.
  • Outstanding customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in reservation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Familiarity with local attractions and amenities is a plus.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
