Center Support Specialist Job Description

Kumon North America, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Center Support Specialist to support the Company Center Instructor and/or Assistant Instructors in various instructional and center management tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Instructional Support: Provide instruction to younger Kumon students using the Kumon Method and worksheets, developing proper study habits and work skills, individualizing strategies for student development, assessing student skills development, and closely collaborating with Instructor on lesson plans and student goals.
  • Grading and Feedback: Grade student work accurately, ensure all classwork is completed and corrected, assess oral reading ability and provide feedback, assist students as needed, and provide feedback to Instructor based on observations.
  • Front Desk Operations: Answer calls and communicate with students and parents, assist with book check in/out and appointments, help with the enrollment process, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • General Support: Relay messages to Instructors in a timely manner, prepare student files, assist with marketing initiatives, and support Customer Service efforts.
Requirements:
  • Strong Communication Skills: Possess strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and staff.
  • Math and Computer Skills: Be proficient in math and possess basic computer skills, with the ability to navigate our software systems.
  • Customer Service Orientation: Demonstrate a customer service-oriented mindset, with a focus on providing exceptional service to our students and families.
