**Role Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Accountant to join our finance team, supporting our Corporate Controller. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing a wide range of responsibilities from cost accounting to payroll, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and contributing to our ongoing success.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **Financial Reporting**: Analyze and accurately report the current month's financial results, ensuring timely and accurate posting to the general ledger.
  • **Month-End and Year-End Closing**: Lead the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and complete.
  • **Cash Management**: Monitor and record daily bank activity, ensuring timely and accurate posting to the general ledger, and oversee and manage cash collections and disbursements.
  • **Inventory Management**: Ensure accuracy of the physical inventory and reported results, investigate and explain any book to physical adjustments, and maintain a perpetual inventory for finished goods and reconcile this perpetual to production, shipping, and returns on a regular basis.
  • **Inter-Company Accounts**: Reconcile all inter-company accounts monthly, and assist with data entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other operational accounting tasks.
  • **Financial Analysis**: Reconcile general ledger accounts and analyze financial data to identify large or unusual activity, and participate in monthly physical inventory.

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 5-7 years of related experience.
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Good at working independently, thinking critically, and offering quality ideas to improving organization's processes.
