Job Overview

Summary: Responsible for coordinating and overseeing the safe execution of emergency spill response, specialized industrial cleaning, and environmental projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site evaluations and prepare project estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers to assess job requirements, including manpower, equipment, and materials.
  • Develop safety assessments for each project.
  • Lead daily safety briefings and weekly toolbox discussions.
  • Supervise and guide teams in adherence to OSHA regulations and Miller Environmental Group's safety protocols.
  • Continuously assess job sites for safety compliance.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of equipment used on-site.
  • Manage crew performance to enhance productivity and profitability while ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, including worksheets, safety briefings, waste manifests, and daily reports.
  • Secure the work site at the end of each shift to ensure safety and protect equipment and materials.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are cleaned and returned to proper working condition post-project.
  • Possess basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for note-taking and photo uploads.
  • Ability to manage projects from inception to completion.
  • Conduct on-site visits to clients independently or with a marketing representative.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial cleaning, utility construction, or environmental construction, with 1-3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Equipment Proficiency: Familiarity with tools such as jackhammers, vacuum trucks, roll-off trucks, and high-pressure washers.
  • Strong coordination skills with personnel and clients.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, innovative, proactive, and persistent.
  • Experience with chemical handling and air monitoring equipment is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Relevant skills and experience in the environmental sector are essential.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to perform physical tasks such as walking on uneven terrain, lifting, and operating tools.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

  • Work primarily takes place outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended hours.
  • Noise levels may range from moderate to loud.
  • Protective gear such as coveralls, gloves, and safety glasses may be necessary to mitigate exposure to hazardous materials.
