Reporting directly to the Head of Delivery, the Site Manager will be instrumental in overseeing and managing all on-site operations for our commercial construction projects. Your primary role will be to ensure that projects are executed safely, on schedule, and within budget while upholding quality standards and compliance with regulations. This position involves direct interaction with clients and collaboration with franchise owners, trades, subcontractors, building officials, and other members of the Archmill House/Solutions team. Extensive travel and on-site work will be required based on project timelines, with projects typically lasting from one to two weeks. Meal and lodging expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with the Travel Policy, and overnight work may be necessary based on project requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project Oversight: Manage daily operations at construction sites, ensuring compliance with plans, schedules, and safety protocols.
  • Team Leadership: Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, laborers, and other construction personnel, providing guidance to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor work progress and quality, conduct regular inspections, and address any deviations from plans to maintain high construction standards.
  • Safety Management: Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on-site.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of project progress, including daily reports and work logs.
  • Communication: Serve as a liaison between project managers, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and prompt resolution of project-related issues.
  • Problem Resolution: Identify and address challenges that may arise during construction, such as unexpected delays or conflicts, while maintaining project timelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager or in a similar role within commercial construction.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety standards.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to motivate teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore).
  • Relevant certifications or licenses are a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively.
  • Must possess a valid passport (and Canadian visa if applicable).
