Job Overview

At Farrar Corporation, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Foundry team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our foundry equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on foundry equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues with electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Operate forklifts and other mobile equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct facility maintenance tasks to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Solve complex electrical and electronic problems, including those related to PLCs, relays, sensors, and interfaces.
  • Work with high-voltage circuits, AC and DC motors, and 3-phase electrical distributions.
  • Troubleshoot industrial automation and interface issues.
Requirements
  • Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and drawings.
  • Ability to climb ladders and/or stairways.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong skills in one or more of the following areas: electronics, electrical, electro-mechanical, PLCs.
Work Schedule
  • 1st shift: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
  • 2nd shift: 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm.
  • 3rd shift: 11:00 pm to 7:30 am.
