Maintenance Technician for Foundry Equipment

Job DescriptionAs a Maintenance Technician for Foundry Equipment at Farrar Corporation, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our foundry equipment. Your responsibilities will include performing preventative and reactionary maintenance, diagnosing and solving problems, and operating forklifts and other mobile equipment. You will also be responsible for facility maintenance, solving electrical/electronic/PLC issues, and working with AC & DC motors, high voltage circuits, and industrial automation and interfaces. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues to resolve problems efficiently
  • Operate forklifts and other mobile equipment to move materials and equipment
  • Perform facility maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and clean work environment
  • Solve electrical/electronic/PLC issues to keep equipment running smoothly
Requirements
  • Manufacturing background/environment preferred but not required
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and drawings
  • Ability to climb ladders and/or stairways
  • Basic understanding of safety in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong skills in one or more of: electronics, electrical, electro-mechanical, PLC's
Work Schedule
  • 1st shift schedule 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
  • 2nd shift schedule 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm
  • 3rd shift schedule 11:00 pm to 7:30 am
