Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician 3 to join our team at GE Aerospace. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Complete regulatory PMs as assigned, administer IVU and Novar monitoring systems, and utilize computer and mobile devices to receive and complete Work orders utilizing Maximo. Perform routine maintenance of vacuum furnaces to NADCAP specifications, possess intermediate working knowledge of primary facility systems, and assure proper functioning of various security systems. Assist in procurement responsibilities, maintain preventative maintenance program, and identify opportunities for improvement. Cross-train with other employees as needed, participate in and support team initiatives, and interact with operations and support functions. Willingness to work overtime as needed, participate in and assist in leading Team initiatives, and report problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach. Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products, utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures per position requirements. Understand and abide by the GE Leadership behaviors, exemplify and coach others on the GE Leadership behaviors, and perform other duties as required.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalency, 3 years maintenance experience, and advanced troubleshooting skills on production/facility equipment. Special education and/or vocational training, 5 or more years' experience at GE Aviation in Norwich, NY, knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic operation and repair, commercial electrical knowledge including 3 phase, and industrial machining equipment diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Demonstrates ability to work effectively in a team environment, humble, respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn, transparent, shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively, focused, quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed, leadership ability, strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative, problem-solver, analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker, and ability to use Microsoft applications to analyze data.
