Position Overview:

Join Raytheon Technologies as a Senior FPGA Communications Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in advancing national defense initiatives. Your expertise will be essential in developing cutting-edge solutions that enhance security and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a vital contributor to the Engineering Center Technical Team, collaborating with a diverse group of skilled engineers to achieve project goals.
  • Maintain technical integrity and ensure successful engineering execution across all project phases.
  • Engage with development teams, management, mission teams, and clients to deliver tailored product and system solutions.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to fellow engineers, fostering an environment of continuous professional growth.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 5 years of experience, or 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven experience in developing digital signal processing and/or network processing FPGA applications.
  • Possession of an active U.S. government issued DoD TS/SCI security clearance is mandatory prior to employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in implementing complex high-speed synthesizable algorithms using HDL programming languages such as VHDL, Verilog, and SystemVerilog.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard FPGA development tools including Vitis, Vivado, and Quartus.
  • Experience collaborating with software development teams to integrate FPGA components.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and document FPGA designs based on component specifications.
  • Experience in providing accurate FPGA development cost and schedule estimates.
  • Proficiency in software languages used for interfacing with FPGA applications (e.g., Matlab, Python, C).
