Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and advise on various products and programs, providing systems engineering expertise on both new and existing solutions, while formulating and proposing innovative concepts to our clients.
  • Engage directly with clients, senior leadership, program managers, and multidisciplinary technical teams to thoroughly comprehend client objectives and develop effective solutions.
  • Spearhead Research and Development initiatives that delve into advanced technology exploration.
  • Participate in engineering functions such as concept formulation, engineering design, integration and evaluation, as well as operations and maintenance of various systems or systems of systems.
  • Maintain extensive interaction with clients to define solutions and project scope, acting as a liaison within the organization.
  • Lead large teams of engineers and substantial design projects, deliver formal presentations to large audiences and clients, conduct detailed design reviews, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and make critical decisions under pressure.
  • Collaborate with development teams to address discrepancies and challenges.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8 years of practical experience in Systems Engineering or leading technical developments, including design, development, and testing of complex custom hardware and software systems.
  • Proficiency in Design, Development, Integration, and Testing processes.
  • Knowledge of RF, Optics, Networking, or Telecommunications standards and processing techniques.
  • Familiarity with data center or co-location infrastructure and environments.
  • Proven experience in identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Experience collaborating with clients, end users, hardware design teams, and software design teams.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum of 6 years of experience, or 12 years of relevant experience in the absence of a degree.
  • An active and transferable TS/SCI with CI Poly is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for eligibility for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in developing high-speed processing hardware, embedded systems, FPGAs, or complex control software.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, including AWS, Azure, or Google.
  • Experience in reverse engineering complex software/hardware systems.
  • Understanding of telecommunications systems concepts and signal processing fundamentals.
  • Experience in formalizing, developing, and documenting requirements, plans, and procedures based on client interactions.
  • Experience in developing system-level designs and high-level control and data interfaces.
  • Involvement in bid and proposal activities related to system development.
