Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and advise on various products and programs, providing systems engineering support for both new and existing products, while developing and proposing innovative concepts and solutions to our clients.
  • Engage directly with clients, senior management, program managers, and cross-disciplinary technical teams to fully comprehend client objectives and subsequently devise effective solutions.
  • Spearhead Research and Development initiatives that delve into advanced technology exploration.
  • Participate in engineering activities such as concept development, design engineering, integration and evaluation, and the operations and maintenance of various systems or systems of systems.
  • Maintain extensive interaction with clients to define solutions and project scope, acting as a liaison within the organization.
  • Lead large teams of engineers and major design projects, deliver formal presentations to large audiences and clients, conduct thorough design reviews, manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently, gain a comprehensive understanding of systems, flows, CONOPs, and advanced concepts, innovate and provide strategic direction, and make critical decisions under pressure.
  • Collaborate with development teams to address discrepancies and challenges.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8 years of practical experience in Systems Engineering or leading technical developments, including experience in the design, development, and testing of complex custom hardware and software systems.
  • Proficiency in Design, Development, Integration, and Testing.
  • Familiarity with RF, Optics, Networking, or Telecommunications standards and processing techniques.
  • Knowledge of data center or co-location infrastructure and environments.
  • Proven experience in identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues throughout all phases of the system lifecycle.
  • Experience collaborating with clients, end users, hardware design teams, and software design teams.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations, along with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum of 6 years of experience, or in the absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
  • An active and transferable TS/SCI with CI Poly is mandatory prior to the start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in developing high-speed processing hardware, embedded systems, FPGAs, complex control software, or embedded software.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, including AWS, Azure, or Google.
  • Experience in reverse engineering complex software/hardware systems.
  • Understanding of telecommunications systems concepts and signal processing fundamentals.
  • Experience in formalizing, developing, and documenting requirements, plans, and procedures based on client discussions and statements of work.
  • Experience in developing system-level designs and high-level control and data interfaces.
  • Involvement in bid and proposal activities related to system development.
