Territory Sales Manager Job Description

As a Territory Sales Manager at TAMKO, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and customer satisfaction in your assigned territory. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing products and services, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect residential and commercial roofs to identify sales opportunities and provide expert advice to customers.
  • Teach others the proper installation of roofing materials and provide training to customers and internal teams.
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to groups of customers and stakeholders.
  • Write reports and correspondence to communicate with customers, internal teams, and management.
  • Plan, organize, and direct activities to ensure customer satisfaction and meet sales targets.
  • Compile lists of prospective customers and develop sales leads based on market research and industry trends.
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory to call on customers and prospects, demonstrating products and providing sales support.
  • Quote prices and credit terms, prepare sales contracts, and estimate delivery dates to customers.
  • Prepare reports of business transactions and maintain expense accounts.
  • Work with inside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date.
  • Coordinate customer training and develop relationships with purchasing contacts.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints and issues related to deliveries.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or at least four years of related experience and/or training.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel by air transportation in and out of assigned territory.
  • Ability to work extended hours and overnight stays away from home.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

The physical demands of this role include frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include acuity sufficient for driving an automobile and truck, minimal color discrimination, and accurate depth perception.

Frequent extended work hours and a quiet work environment are typical of this role.
