Legal Billing Specialist (Hybrid)

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Legal Billing Specialist to enhance our finance department. This role presents an exceptional opportunity to be part of a high-performing team within the dynamic finance sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all facets of legal billing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in client invoicing.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage all elements of legal billing, guaranteeing precise and prompt invoicing for clients.
2. Maintain essential data within the time and billing system, ensuring the integrity and completeness of information.
3. Provide professional assistance to clients regarding billing inquiries and related reports, ensuring high-quality customer service.
4. Collaborate with team members to optimize billing processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
5. Utilize electronic billing platforms such as TyMetrix, Serengeti, CounselLink, DataCert, Legal Exchange, and Bottomline for managing and processing invoices.
6. Regularly assess and refine billing procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
7. Work closely with the legal team to accurately invoice for services rendered.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in legal billing, ideally within the finance sector.
2. Proven expertise with Aderant and other electronic billing systems such as TyMetrix, Serengeti, CounselLink, DataCert, Legal Exchange, and Bottomline.
3. Strong understanding of billing practices and procedures.
4. Excellent customer service abilities, capable of addressing billing inquiries professionally.
5. Proficient in managing information within the time and billing system.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
8. Effective organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
9. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
11. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is preferred.
