Position Summary:As a Billing and Accounts Specialist, you will be integral to maintaining the precision and effectiveness of our billing operations. Collaborating with finance and administrative teams, you will oversee patient accounts, manage invoice processing, and support payment collection efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in accounting principles, a keen eye for detail, and a dedication to providing outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and issue invoices for patient services, ensuring accuracy and promptness
  • Oversee accounts receivable for patients, including balance tracking, payment processing, and addressing billing questions
  • Engage with insurance companies to confirm coverage, submit claims, and reconcile payments
  • Review and modify financial agreements and payment plans to align with patient requirements and organizational guidelines
  • Conduct regular audits of billing records to detect discrepancies and ensure adherence to regulatory standards
  • Assist patients and internal teams with billing inquiries, payment alternatives, and financial assistance options
  • Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities, including account reconciliation and financial report preparation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or financial management, ideally within a healthcare environment
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in medical billing is advantageous
