Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate a team of warehouse workers, distribute tasks, and ensure the highest levels of productivity.
  • Inventory Management: Verify required inbound/outbound paperwork, ensure accurate product counting, and maintain the integrity of our inventory.
  • Operations Management: Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and adheres to OSHA standards, ensure the efficient use of materials handling equipment, and train employees on its proper use.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Freight Coordination: Coordinate freight for all outbound stock transfers between locations, schedule delivery appointments, and execute daily outbound shipments.
  • Manpower Planning: Coordinate manpower requirements with 3PL service providers and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service skills and identify added value services and industry best practices that can positively impact customer and operational requirements.
  • Training and Development: May provide training to other plants on loading trucks, staging freight, and other related tasks, and participate in annual audits as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma, some college desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in a warehouse and transportation environment.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook), and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Certifications: Forklift certification and valid driver's license.
