We are seeking a highly skilled Peer Recovery Support Specialist to provide peer support services to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. As a Peer Recovery Support Specialist, you will offer guidance, encouragement, and advocacy to help clients achieve their recovery goals.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Build trusting relationships with clients and provide peer support services in both group and individual settings
  • Assist clients in developing and implementing recovery plans
  • Advocate for clients within the healthcare system and community resources
  • Facilitate support groups and educational programs
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records
  • Participate in training and supervision to enhance peer support skills

**Requirements:**

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Certification as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) or willingness to obtain certification
  • Strong understanding of mental health and substance use disorders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and boundaries with clients
  • Empathetic and nonjudgmental approach to supporting individuals in recovery

**Additional Requirements:**

  • Must pass a background check
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Knowledge of local resources for individuals in recovery
  • Experience with documentation and record-keeping in a healthcare setting
