Recovery Support Professional

About the Role:
Gaudenzia is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Recovery Support Professional to join our team. As a key member of our treatment program, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Screen and process new admissions, ensuring a smooth transition into our treatment program.
- Monitor client movement and whereabouts, maintaining accurate records and reporting any incidents or infractions.
- Coordinate in-house activities, including chores, breaks, exercise time, leisure time, and visitations, to promote a structured and supportive environment.
- Conduct client orientation sessions, seminars, and morning meetings, providing essential information and guidance to our clients.
- Transport or assist clients traveling to and from medical and/or other appointments, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Conduct and document room searches, perform random searches of clients, and deny access to unauthorized persons, maintaining a secure and respectful environment.
- Supervise clients taking their medications, ensuring their adherence to treatment plans.
- Perform regular room checks to ensure clients are on floors or in their rooms per program schedule.
- Monitor urinalysis/drug screening and breathalyzers, following protocol for reporting unauthorized absences.
- Tour the facility at regular intervals to check building security and ensure there are no fire or safety hazards.
- Ensure vehicles are kept clean and complete weekly vehicle inspections.
- Ensure facility cleanliness and safety through regular inspections of sanitation procedures, including pest control, storage of supplies, and clients' belongings.
- Complete written reports, documentation, and electronic incident reports as required.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to interact effectively with clients and aid them in adjusting to their specific problems
- Basic knowledge of substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Ability to establish and maintain working relations with staff, other agencies, and the public
- Ability to successfully work with others from various cultures and backgrounds
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred
- Ability to work various shifts
