Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team at Concentra Network Services. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine medical and testing procedures under direct supervision of the treating clinician.
  • Support registration and referral management as needed.
  • Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and any required or requested ancillary testing.
  • Perform rapid screening tests and assist providers during examination and treatment.
  • Apply bandages, dressings, and splints as ordered by the treating clinician.
  • Dispense medications and DME as ordered by the treating clinician in accordance with state regulations.
Requirements
  • Vocational/Technical/Business School Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with completion of an externship highly preferred.
  • At least one year of direct patient care experience as a medical assistant or military medical specialist experience (must meet credentials in the state of employment in accordance with state requirements and applicable regulations).
  • Knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology.
  • Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific) preferred.
