POSITION SUMMARY:
AM Advisors is seeking a meticulous and analytical Senior Tax and Financial Analyst to enhance our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing our organization's financial and tax-related processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all financial reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Leverage advanced Excel skills for in-depth financial analysis and forecasting, while developing effective project management tools.

Oversee a team responsible for financial reporting, accounting, billing, collections, payroll, and budgeting tasks.


Prepare or supervise the preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, forecasts of financial positions, annual budgets, and regulatory reports; ensure compliance with all relevant government regulations and professional standards.


Establish and enforce internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for budget management, cash flow, credit management, and accounting practices.

Stay updated on organizational policies, federal and state regulations, and current accounting standards.

Ensure efficient management and utilization of financial resources.

Conduct financial analysis to identify opportunities for growth and areas needing improvement.

Coordinate and manage financial planning, budgeting, and procurement activities.


Monitor financial operations and details, such as cash flow and reserve levels, to guarantee compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Manage client projects and outstanding items to ensure timely completion and resolution.


Engage in hands-on accounting tasks including invoicing, accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable processing, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and financial report preparation while resolving accounting issues.

Review, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports.

Address tax and accounting-related inquiries.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.

A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience as a public accountant.

CPA certification is mandatory.

Extensive knowledge of local, state, and federal tax regulations.

Exceptional attention to detail coupled with strong analytical capabilities.

Proficient in QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, and MS Office applications.

Strong communication and organizational skills.
