Position Overview:
We are in search of a dedicated and skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our Expense Recovery group. This role is pivotal in delivering comprehensive financial analysis and insights that drive strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed financial analytics and provide recommendations regarding expense forecasting and recovery for regulatory matters through collaboration with various functional areas.
- Examine spending patterns and cost categories to assess their impact on financial outcomes and future service costs.
- Review and evaluate third-party testimonies, regulatory proposals, and decisions; contribute to the formulation of strategies to counter testimony and assist in designing new proposals.
- Act as a witness or subject matter expert for moderately complex cost recovery issues, including the development of persuasive testimony and supporting documentation.
- Generate impactful analyses to support essential workstreams, including negotiations and external inquiries.
- Establish and manage financial control files and regulatory adjustments that underpin regulatory submissions and revenue requirement calculations.
- Implement and analyze General Rate Case expense regulatory values in alignment with regulatory decisions.
- Provide analytical support for key regulatory compliance submissions.
- Deliver training and support to business partners.
- Create effective presentation materials for leadership to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Document processes, guidelines, and standards while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and self-direction. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively.
