Position Overview


The Senior Analyst of Financial Performance will leverage analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver comprehensive and insightful analytical support aimed at optimizing decision-making at e.l.f.

Cosmetics, focusing primarily on sales and margin forecasting, reporting, and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate all aspects of monthly sales and margin forecasting processes within the FP&A team.
  • Engage in the monthly financial close process, collaborating with accounting and operations teams to analyze sales and margin impacts against forecasts and prior year results. Provide management reporting and variance analysis, including insightful commentary to elucidate trends.
  • Design, develop, and implement innovative sales and margin forecasting processes and tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and enhance reporting that effectively communicates sales forecasts and actual outcomes.
  • Actively participate in the monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, confidently challenging teams on assumptions and quantifying sales risks and opportunities for finance leadership.
  • Partner with business stakeholders on pricing, costing, and other ad-hoc analytical projects.
Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial analysis.
  • Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or retail sectors.
  • Bachelor's degree with a focus on finance or economics.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel modeling, including the creation of new models and the optimization of existing ones.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Experience with NetSuite and/or SAP S/4HANA.
  • Proficient in Vena or a comparable SaaS FP&A planning tool (Adaptive, Anaplan, Oracle Analytics Cloud).
