GENERAL OVERVIEW
As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will engage in essential customer service and inventory management tasks. Your responsibilities will include organizing, stocking, and distributing supplies while ensuring optimal inventory levels are maintained. You will utilize first-in, first-out inventory practices to manage stock effectively. This role operates under general supervision, allowing for some initiative and independent decision-making.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Process requisitions for law enforcement and support equipment, including essential items such as documents and supplies, using internal software systems. Regularly monitor stock levels and communicate with management regarding low inventory.
2. Uphold cleanliness and organization within the workspace.
3. Implement stock rotation practices to prevent spoilage. Receive incoming goods, verify against purchase orders, and arrange items according to first-in, first-out principles.
4. Maintain accurate inventory records in compliance with loss prevention and agency protocols.
5. Prepare inventory requisitions for distribution.
6. Assist in training new personnel as needed.
7. Adhere to attendance policies and consistently attend work as scheduled.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in inventory management is preferred.
Licensure: A valid driver’s license from your state of residence is required.
Inventory Knowledge: Familiarity with inventory control methods and practices is essential.
Mechanical Skills: Ability to operate mechanical lifting devices and office equipment.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of learning new software systems.
Organizational Skills: Must be organized and capable of prioritizing tasks in a dynamic environment.
Communication Skills: Ability to deliver clear and professional presentations to diverse audiences.
Interpersonal Skills: Must demonstrate poise and the ability to build positive working relationships.
Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information responsibly and in accordance with relevant laws and policies.
Safety Awareness: Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to safety standards.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
