Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Specialist for Stryker's Spine Enabling Technologies will deliver clinical product support to end users and provide on-site assistance during surgical procedures. This role is field-based and will support customers based on business requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Offering training and clinical/technical support to surgeons and operating room personnel in the use of the company's navigation technologies and associated instruments to ensure procedural efficiency.
  • Utilizing proprietary software to prepare pre-operative scans for integration with the Enabling Technologies system, assisting surgeons in preoperative planning and intra-operative guidance.
  • Training physicians and hospital staff, including operating room personnel, radiology, and central sterile processing, on the navigation system, instruments, disposables, and software applications.
  • Providing timely and accurate complaint reports in accordance with Stryker Enabling Technologies' quality system.
  • Resolving product-related issues for customers promptly.
  • Ensuring case coverage at various accounts.
  • Supporting the development and execution of the sales strategy while increasing the utilization of navigation technologies by enhancing volume with existing and prospective surgeons.
  • Actively promoting the clinical advantages of the products and cultivating strong, positive relationships with key surgeons and operating room staff at targeted accounts.
  • Collaborating with Sales Representatives and Marketing to enhance communication regarding product performance.
  • Securing purchase orders for products used during surgical procedures and maintaining records of case coverage purchase orders for services rendered.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to promote the clinical benefits of the company's products, driving continuous account growth and case volume.
  • Potentially leading product evaluations in operating room and office environments.
  • Identifying and pursuing opportunities to engage in cross-divisional labs for product education.
  • Facilitating the transition of competitive surgeons to Stryker Enabling Technologies products.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred, or 6 years of equivalent clinical experience.
  • Experience in sales and/or marketing is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Physical Requirements: Medium work, with the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
  • Availability for off-hours, weekends, and holidays may be necessary to meet business needs.
