POSITION OVERVIEW
The education division of Howard Technology Solutions is committed to addressing the unique needs of K12 schools and higher education institutions, aiding them in establishing and sustaining optimal learning environments. We provide cutting-edge technology that encompasses audiovisual and instructional solutions, network security, and storage systems, alongside installation, consulting, and design services. Our account representatives are thoroughly trained to possess a solid understanding of our product offerings and the specific challenges faced in the educational sector.
We are currently seeking a qualified PC/Network Technician to assist our clientele in the Jackson County, MS region.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:
- An associate's degree in computer information systems or a minimum of 2 years of practical experience as a PC technician
- Hands-on experience in diagnosing and resolving common hardware and software issues for PCs and laptops
- A strong commitment to work ethic and customer service is essential
- Applicants must successfully complete a background check and drug screening
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in hands-on PC/laptop repair and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with the TCP/IP protocol stack
- Experience with Windows-based networks, including DHCP, DNS, Print Management, and User Account management
- Knowledge of Cat5/5e/6 structured cabling
- Experience with network printers
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Candidates must reside in the South Mississippi area to effectively service customers in Jackson County, MS.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including occasional weekends and evenings, is required.
