About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Manager to lead our utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects from pre-construction through project closeout.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning & Pre-Construction:
    • Collaborate with the project development team to provide input on constructability, budget, and schedule.
    • Assist in selecting and negotiating contracts with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firms, subcontractors, and suppliers.
    • Develop detailed construction plans, schedules, and logistics to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Construction Management:
    • Lead and manage all on-site construction activities.
    • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure all materials and resources are available.
    • Monitor and control project costs, manage change orders, and work to mitigate potential risks.
  • Quality Control & Safety:
    • Implement and enforce a rigorous quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) program.
    • Oversee safety protocols to ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and company safety standards.
    • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and rectify any potential issues or non-compliance.
  • Stakeholder Coordination & Communication:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all on-site personnel.
    • Facilitate regular progress meetings with project stakeholders to communicate status, address issues, and ensure alignment.
    • Prepare and present project reports to senior management.
  • Project Closeout:
    • Ensure all project documentation is completed and handed over to the operations team.
    • Manage the commissioning process to ensure systems are tested, verified, and fully operational.
    • Lead post-construction review meetings to capture lessons learned and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in construction management, with a focus on utility-scale solar and/or battery energy storage projects.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-million-dollar construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations in the renewable energy sector.
  • Proficiency in project management software and construction management tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
