Nuclear Medicine Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at the University of California. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing routine to complex Nuclear Medicine procedures utilizing radioactive materials and radioactive pharmaceuticals.
Key Responsibilities- Perform radionuclide imaging of organs, organ systems, and physiologic functions
- Assay body fluids, tissues, and radiobioassays
- Prepare and position patients for procedures using established Nuclear Medicine protocols
- Follow protocols specified by radiologists and ensure technical quality and image quality
- Enter complex data into computer systems and review images for quality
- California Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification or equivalent
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technician license or Registered Technologist for Nuclear Medicine Technology
- BART or BLS certification at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six months
- Recent graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine technology program or recent experience in a similar role and setting
- Understanding of various radiological systems, including PACS and RIS
- One year of hospital experience
This position requires the ability to work various locations based on business needs and flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
The University of California offers a competitive salary range of $118,557 - $156,621, with the actual salary prorated based on appointment percentage. The hiring pay scale is based on experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure, and certifications.
