Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Sharp HealthCare. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of technical procedures with quality patient care, assisting physicians as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform technical procedures with quality patient care, assisting physicians as needed.
  • Verify patient identification and pregnancy status, and implement safe, efficient, and therapeutic care.
  • Position patients according to department imaging protocols, label and identify studies correctly, and use imaging equipment proficiently.
  • Use imaging agents (contrast) according to protocol, and maintain strict patient confidentiality.
  • Follow patient's Advanced Directive, and maintain a professional and limited discussion in private areas.
Requirements
  • Satisfactory completion of formal training program in an AMA-approved school, and meets the requirements of an appropriate State and/or Federal mandated certification or equivalent.
  • California Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), and AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) certification by the American Heart Association.
  • Preferred qualifications include 1 year of Nuclear Med Technician experience, and ARRT Certificate by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
