The Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Jamie Grayem plays a crucial role in assisting in diagnosis and/or treatment in both inpatient and outpatient environments. This position requires a licensed technologist who can perform routine to complex diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures using radiopharmaceuticals.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work safely in an acute care setting and interact with anesthesia and/or other patient care departments. Responsibilities include collecting, preparing, and analyzing biologic specimens, preparing data for interpretation, and performing radiation safety and quality control procedures on all Nuclear Medicine equipment.

This position also involves participating in orientation and training of assigned staff, students, residents, and faculty, as well as performance improvement activities in the department.

Advanced Responsibilities:

The Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist will have the opportunity to demonstrate competency and participate in the lead/coordinator role, instruct two or more specialty procedures, and actively participate in clinical protocol development, improvement, and implementation.

Certifications:

The following certifications are required for this position:

  • CTNM: NMTCB or ARRT (N)
  • CA state license - CA Department of Public Health, Certified Technologist, Nuclear Medicine
  • BLS (CPR) Certification

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree from an accredited Nuclear Medicine training program and a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
