Job Overview:
Join a dynamic team at Cedar Fair in a unique part-time role as a Group Sales Event Coordinator. This position is ideal for individuals with excellent communication skills who thrive in a lively and fast-paced environment. You will collaborate closely with the Group Sales Department to facilitate the planning and execution of various corporate, youth, and small group events, both catered and non-catered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning and execution of group events, ensuring a seamless experience for clients.
- Act as a liaison between the Group Sales team and other departments, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
- Provide exceptional service to clients, including park tours, support materials, ticket reorders, and accommodating special requests.
- Manage client inquiries and concerns through phone and email communication.
- Assist in preparing event-related paperwork, ensuring all details are accurate and complete.
- Support Account Executives with administrative tasks, including internal documentation and event promotional materials.
- Participate in interdepartmental meetings to discuss upcoming events and review past event outcomes.
- Process contracts, forms, and payments as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as necessary.
- Proactive approach to maintaining the company's standards of safety, service, and integrity.
- Experience in clerical or administrative roles with a focus on customer service.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Familiarity with event planning and coordination is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and adaptable to new software.
- Exhibit professionalism and comfort in public speaking and conducting tours.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills, maintaining composure in challenging situations.
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and planning abilities.
- Must pass a mandatory drug test and background check, as per company policy.
