Job Overview:

Join a dynamic team at Cedar Fair in a unique part-time role as a Group Sales Event Coordinator. You will collaborate closely with the Group Sales Department to facilitate the planning and execution of various corporate, youth, and small group events, both catered and non-catered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning and execution of group events, ensuring a seamless experience for clients.
  • Act as a liaison between the Group Sales team and other departments, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Provide exceptional service to clients, including park tours, support materials, ticket reorders, and accommodating special requests.
  • Manage client inquiries and concerns through phone and email communication.
  • Assist in preparing event-related paperwork, ensuring all details are accurate and complete.
  • Support Account Executives with administrative tasks, including internal documentation and event promotional materials.
  • Participate in interdepartmental meetings to discuss upcoming events and review past event outcomes.
  • Process contracts, forms, and payments as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as necessary.
  • Proactive approach to maintaining the company's standards of safety, service, and integrity.
  • Experience in clerical or administrative roles with a focus on customer service.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with event planning and coordination is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and adaptable to new software.
  • Exhibit professionalism and comfort in public speaking and conducting tours.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, maintaining composure in challenging situations.
  • Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and planning abilities.
  • Must pass a mandatory drug test and background check, as per company policy.
