MNTN's technology processes hundreds of millions of requests daily, features multiple user interface applications, and includes a sophisticated bidding system that underpins a platform for real-time behavioral marketing, aimed at optimizing performance in cross-device advertising. We leverage open-source technologies alongside proprietary solutions to meet the stringent low-latency requirements of rapid-response advertising.

We are seeking a proactive technical leader to spearhead a groundbreaking greenfield product. You will take charge of a team of three software engineers, orchestrate the new product's roadmap, oversee its launch, and expand the team, all while managing a product that holds the potential for remarkable growth and disruption within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in hands-on development utilizing technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, and GraphQL.
  • Lead a diverse team of software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement through mentorship, guidance, constructive feedback, and clear measurable objectives.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the modern software development lifecycle, employing scalable Agile methodologies, including experience with CI/CD frameworks.
  • Take ownership of prioritizing and executing the product roadmap.
  • Collect and define product and software requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
  • Implement and uphold quality assurance processes to ensure high standards in code quality, performance, and security.
  • Promote innovation and the adoption of new technologies that can enhance product and engineering processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other engineering groups, design, and customer support, to ensure alignment on customer-facing changes.
  • Manage the operational processes within your team.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience leading product-focused engineering teams.
  • 4+ years of experience with UI technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, and GraphQL.
  • 4+ years of experience with SQL and database principles.
  • Ability to contribute to hands-on development on a daily basis.
  • Experience collaborating with UI/UX designers.
  • Proficiency in UNIX for navigation, debugging, and data manipulation.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills – mentoring, guiding, scaling, and delegating.
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to contribute both tactically and strategically.
  • Capability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities effectively.
  • Experience with SVN/GIT and its relevance to managing release cycles.
  • Familiarity with AGILE methodologies and ensuring sprint priorities are met.
  • Experience with Kotlin and Python is preferred.
