ICON is seeking a Lead Technical Project Manager to spearhead software project teams focused on innovative solutions in digital construction. In this role, you will oversee the daily operational execution of the software team, orchestrate planning cycles, and collaborate with product managers to implement product strategies. You will report directly to the Director of BuildOS Construction and Commerce Products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with product owners and engineering leaders to schedule software development cycles for the team.
  • Engage with software teams to prioritize functionalities, assess risks, and analyze engineering alternatives.
  • Facilitate communication between software engineers and business stakeholders to ensure all requirements are fulfilled.
  • Establish Agile methodologies for managing software teams effectively.
  • Conduct various meetings related to software development processes, including planning sessions, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
  • Propose enhancements to team workflows.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field, along with relevant industry experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years in managing software projects.
  • At least 5 years of experience in software development.
  • Familiarity with Agile software practices.
  • A proven history of delivering successful software solutions.
  • Capability to uncover the underlying requirements of feature requests and suggest alternative technical and business solutions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Specialized knowledge in critical technical domains relevant to ICON, such as construction, 3D graphics, computational geometry, large-scale cloud computing, web/mobile interfaces, machine learning/AI, or automation technologies.
  • Experience in scaling software organizations within a startup context.
  • Proficiency in automating project management workflows and tools (e.g., Trello, JIRA, etc.).
