Key Responsibilities

As a Junior Project Financial Analyst, you will be expected to:

  • Manage client invoicing, collections oversight, and project financial planning.
  • Assist with client billing, collections oversight, project initiation, and financial planning.
  • Prepare project sub-consultant agreements, purchase orders, and work confirmations, along with supporting the coding and processing of sub-consultant invoices, time sheets, and expense report documentation for billing.
  • Ensure accurate contract documentation, administration, and maintenance, including fee and budget entries.
  • Collaborate with project teams to provide timely contract performance insights and address financial concerns.
  • Support the development of project management and quality plans.
  • Monitor and track project deliverables.
  • Document meeting minutes.
  • Assist various project managers and staff daily.
  • Support project managers and the accounting team with project initiation documents, including project management plans, quality plans, and safety plans.
  • Schedule project meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements within the project accounting system.
  • Assist multiple project managers and the project accounting team daily.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Please note that this position does not involve accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general ledger accounting. Job responsibilities do not include general bookkeeping or payroll tasks.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a related field or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, and telephone etiquette.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while collaborating with various managers in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Capability to handle confidential information.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Outlook.
  • A commitment to actively participate in our employee-owned culture is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Experience supervising financial professionals is advantageous.
