Job Overview

Sinclair Broadcast Group is seeking a Marketing Coordinator who will act as a vital marketing, data, and content resource across the station's Sales and Solutions teams. Occasionally, the Marketing Coordinator may oversee designated accounts in a junior Marketing Consultant capacity. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized multitasker with a strong commitment to supporting colleagues and enhancing team performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate effectively with the team of Marketing Consultants (MC) and Management to drive new and existing business towards significant client and station growth.
  • Deliver exceptional administrative support to the MCs and Management while providing outstanding customer service to both existing and prospective clients.
  • Work alongside MCs to address advertising clients' RFP requests and manage the ad scheduling process.
  • Conduct research initiatives to assist MCs in promoting integrated solutions to both new and existing clients.
  • Create tailored advertising solutions and relevant sales materials based on client requirements and market potential.
  • Handle customer account orders and billing details with meticulous attention to accuracy.
  • Oversee preemptions and devise compensatory plans to accurately fulfill client delivery needs.
  • Manage the creative process and campaign execution for television and digital solutions, including asset collection, production, and distribution.
  • Maintain databases to proactively generate reports related to critical sales outcomes and share insights with Sales and Management teams as necessary.
  • Ensure database integrity to facilitate quick data retrieval, identifying areas for increased efficiency in marketing initiatives and sales strategies.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by conducting thorough business and industry analyses, reporting findings to internal teams and external clients.
  • Support business objectives by informing the sales team of upsell and account expansion opportunities.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for supporting roles and contributing to team achievements.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with peers, supervisors, and colleagues.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence outcomes, with or without formal authority.
  • High emotional intelligence, empathy, competitiveness, and a strong sense of urgency in delivering exceptional experiences for both internal teams and external clients.
  • Proven listening skills, verbal communication abilities, and a professional writing style.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and a track record of striving for high performance in the role.
  • Capability to collaborate with teammates to analyze assignments, determine necessary outcomes, and meet strict deadlines while ensuring accuracy.
  • Technologically proficient, with the ability to navigate multiple internet and software platforms to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Understanding of digital reporting and analytical metrics.
  • Experience in marketing or advertising is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
