We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team at Lancaster General. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our patients and their families, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.
Key Responsibilities- Registration and Scheduling: Accurately register patients, verify insurance information, and schedule appointments in a timely and efficient manner.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Medical Record Management: Maintain accurate and complete medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers, both verbally and in writing, to ensure seamless coordination of care.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience: One year of customer service, registration, or medical office experience required; experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in computer software and systems.
