Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team at Lancaster General. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a positive experience for our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, ensuring accurate and timely scheduling.
  • Registration and Insurance Verification: Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and account details to ensure accurate billing and payment.
  • Ordering and Coordination of Services: Order tests and coordinate services as needed, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: One year of clerical, customer service, or administrative support experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Skills: Basic keyboarding, personal computer use, and office setting equipment; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Registration Experience: One year of registration experience, point of service collection, insurance validation, and order release process.
  • Revenue Cycle Experience: One year of experience in a hospital or medical office setting, with knowledge of revenue cycle processes.
  • Electronic Medical Record Experience: Previous experience with Epic or equivalent electronic medical record systems.
