Research Associate – Process Research & Development

Centrillion Technology Holdings is at the forefront of pioneering genomic innovations, utilizing engineering and biochemical advancements to enhance discovery and elucidate the complexities of the genome. Our dedicated team of scientists and engineers strives to democratize access to next-generation genomic technologies for a wide array of applications that were previously unattainable.

We are in search of a dynamic and inventive chemist or chemical engineer to become a vital part of our interdisciplinary research team focused on developing cutting-edge technologies for genomic sequence analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Engage in supervised research aimed at creating novel reagents, materials, and methodologies for the advancement of innovative manufacturing technologies.
  2. Perform organic synthesis.
  3. Conduct instrumental chemical analyses to assess the performance of various components and processes.
  4. Document experimental procedures; analyze data; and present findings effectively.
  5. Prepare written protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  6. Calibrate and maintain analytical instruments, process tools, and systems.
  7. Source components, materials, and reagents as needed.
  8. Support research and development as well as manufacturing pilot and quality control operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Biochemistry.
  2. Proficient knowledge and hands-on experience in organic and polymer chemistry.
  3. Industry research and development experience in one or more of the following domains:
    1. Synthesis of organic small molecules.
    2. Automated synthesis of DNA or peptides.
    3. Utilization of instrumentation for chemical and spectroscopic analysis, including LC, MS, HPLC, NMR, FTIR, UV, and fluorescence.
    4. Fundamental cleanroom and microfabrication processing technologies.
  4. Proven ability to plan and execute research experiments effectively.
  5. Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  6. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.
  8. Capacity to develop additional competencies and apply practical skills to address a variety of scientific and technical challenges.
