Our dedicated team of scientists and engineers is focused on making a new era of genomic technologies accessible and cost-effective for a wide range of applications.
We are looking for a motivated, innovative, and resourceful chemist or chemical engineer to become part of a multidisciplinary research team that is pioneering new technologies for genomic sequence analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in supervised research to formulate new reagents, materials, and processes aimed at advancing manufacturing technologies.
- Conduct organic synthesis.
- Perform instrumental chemical analysis to assess the performance of various components and processes.
- Document experimental work; analyze data; and present findings effectively.
- Prepare written protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Calibrate and maintain analytical instruments, process tools, and systems.
- Source components, materials, and reagents.
- Support research and development as well as manufacturing pilot and quality control operations.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Biochemistry.
- Proficient knowledge and hands-on experience in organic and polymer chemistry.
- Experience in industry research and development in areas such as:
- Synthesis of organic small molecules.
- Automated synthesis of DNA or peptides.
- Utilization of instrumentation for chemical and spectroscopic analysis, including LC, MS, HPLC, NMR, FTIR, UV, and fluorescence.
- Basic understanding of cleanroom and microfabrication processing technologies.
- Proven ability to plan and execute research experiments effectively.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.
- Capacity to develop new competencies and apply practical skills to address a variety of scientific and technical challenges.
